Hello, 24six9 fam!

The month of March 2024 has come and gone, leaving with it some fantastic moments of fun, community, and Iftar deliciousness. Here’s a quick roundup of all the events, masterclasses, and networking sessions held by 24six9 during the very happening month of March.

March Highlights

The 24six9 community was in for a lovely theatrical surprise as we played host to HOST theatre. Led by Yulia Maksimovich, CEO of HOST Theatre, the event on March 8th saw Yulia take center stage and regale the community with her talk on Creativity in Startups. We all indulged in fun, immersive exercises with the HOST team (called the Networking Game). A Creativity Masterclass followed, featuring the creative minds behind HOST, Basel Khaled Yafi, Chineme Oboira and Yulia Maksimovich. Suffice it to say the evening was full of laughter, collaboration and an all-round good time.

Pitch Roast Excitement

No 24six9 Monthly Roundup is complete without mentioning our bi-monthly Pitch Roast sessions, where we make it our business to give innovators the floor to present their ideas. Several aspiring entrepreneurs and startup founders took to the stage and shared their ideas with the community, and as always, great advice was to be had, peppered with brutal roasting and cutting takes.

24six9's First Anniversary and Community Iftar Event

We paid homage to the holy month of Ramadan by hosting a lovely 24six9 Iftar for the Dubai Chapter on March 22, 2024. As an invite-only event, we broke fast with delicious, traditional iftar foods at the Latest Recipe restaurant in Le Meridian Mina Seyahi with several members of the 24six9 Dubai community.

The day also marked the first anniversary for 24six9, and to make it extra special, our very own Jamil Shinawi was presented with a gift – a framed illustration of the founding members of 24six9, presented by Ivan Grishkin, one of our most active community members. This pivotal piece was then signed by every member of the 24six9 community present at the Iftar, as a symbol of our commitment to growing by 1,000% each year.
