Hello 24six9 fam!

Phew, what a month it’s been. From Ramadan to Eid to a very unexpected storm, you’d think we would’ve been busy enough with live updates, but in the words of Starship, nothin’s gonna stop us (!) from holding our weekly Friday events. We had a wonderful month full of activities, debates, networking events, and guest speaker sessions, some of which really had the crowd hooting.

Pitch Roast Excitement

Let’s relive the fiery glory of our bi-monthly Pitch Roast sessions, the first of which was held on 5th April. With a room full of aspiring entrepreneurs and some of the wildest ideas we’ve ever heard spoken aloud, we had innovators brave the stage to battle for feedback (and maybe a little friendly scorching). This month, we had a fresh wave of startup founders take the heat, as they shared their vision with the community.

Ask Me Anything

We had our next session on April 19th, where Asher Siddiqui, the General Partner of Sukna Ventures held an “Ask Me Anything” session. He had to answer a LOT of questions from aspiring founders, entrepreneurs, and a generally eager crowd. This was followed by a short guest speaker session held by physicists Igor and Ilia, who shared their understanding of the world with the crowd.

New Series Launch: Founders Talk

We launched our brand-new 24six9 series called “Founders Talk” on April 26th, 2024 where we invite founders to share their insights, stories, and advice on what it takes to build a successful and sustainable startup. The first talk of the series hosted Gil Petersil, Global Speaker and Networking and Strategy Expert to regale us with incredible insights about business, strategic networking, and personal development.

This was followed by a debate on what makes a tech start-up truly successful, hosted by Adil T.. The debate got heated very quickly, as people shared their perspectives on whether it is visionary leadership or robust business models that lend credibility to tech success.

It’s been a lovely month, full to the brim with great conversations, deep business connections, and networking growth. We celebrated Eid, got through the storm, and, generally, had a very active month. Here’s to many more like it (without unprecedented storms this time).
