Dubai Chapter Idea Lab - ideas were thrown, minds were blown April 3 · Friday · In5 Tech, Dubai

The April edition of Idea Lab brought together a packed room of builders and thinkers at In5 Tech, and the quality of ideas on display was genuinely something else. Whether they came with a polished deck or just an idea and a dream, every founder got the same thing, a room full of real people ready to engage. Four standout pitches made it to the stage, each hitting a completely different space.

A fintech lifestyle OS for MENA students, an AI compliance platform built to unify governance across borders, a Shopify product management tool solving real e-commerce headaches, and a deeply human play to preserve family stories before they're lost forever. Different industries, different stages, same energy. Founders who believed in what they were building and had the room believing it too.

All Chapter Founders Workshop April 24th - Governance 101 with Suraya Turk, Pearl Initiative April 24 · Thursday - Zoom Webinar - in collaboration with Pearl Initiative

Our first-ever live online Founders Workshop went global, with Pearl Initiative and Suraya Turk, founder of Legal Circle, making sure it counted. With 20+ years advising 600+ MENA startups including MamoPay, Rizek, and Qeen AI, she walked the community through incorporation structures, SPV setups across MENA region, and the critical differences between a Co-Founder Agreement and a Shareholder Agreement.

The chat was as valuable as the session itself. Founders weren't watching, they were sharing real situations in real time. Equity splits with no documentation. Venture builder co-founder questions. Cap table disasters in the making. Suraya addressed every one of them without flinching.

As one attendee put it: "People shy away from difficult conversations when everything is cordial."

This session made sure nobody left without having one.

Riyadh Chapter Founders Workshop April 28th - where real teams get built (or broken) April 28 · Tuesday - Neonexus by LaMarka.

Muath Bin Hussain came to NeoNexus with one mission - to talk about the thing every founder feels but nobody puts on a pitch deck. Team dysfunction. Hidden conflicts. The slow death of momentum when people are pulling in the same direction but not actually together.

From "Broken teams never achieve" as the opener, to Tuckman's Forming, Storming, Norming, Performing model brought to life through One Piece illustrations. Muath kept the room locked in from start to finish. The conversations that spilled out after the session ended were proof enough that it landed.
